Particularmente, senti falta de vários discos nestes Top 10, por isso resolvi eleger também os meus 10 melhores lançamentos do ano para corrigir algumas falhas. E também porque muitas das novidades que aparecem acima - Fleet Foxes, TV on the Radio, Bon Iver, Deerhunter... - simplesmente não me despertaram tanto interesse assim e cederam lugar facilmente a outras bandas com mais "tempo de estrada", como o R.E.M. e o seu quase impecável Accelerate. As exceções ficam por conta do interessante Vampire Weekend e do excelente disco do Little Joy, parceria entre o ex-Hermanos Rodrigo Amarante, e do baterista do Strokes, Fabrizio Moretti.
